What the extension's messages mean

The Capnolog extension says plainly when a case did not go through. “Not connected” means the extension needs a new code from your phone. “Not accepted” means the ACGME refused the submission, and nothing was saved. “Submission could not be confirmed” asks you to check the ACGME's list and answer Yes or No. Your cases stay on your phone throughout.

The extension never guesses whether a case was filed. When the extension is unsure, the extension asks you.

“Not connected”
Click “Connect to Capnolog” in the extension. On your phone, open the Log tab, tap the ACGME card, and tap the “Generate code” button. Type the code into the extension before the ten-minute timer runs out.

“Up to date”
Nothing is waiting to be filed. A case you log on your phone appears in the extension after the next check.

“Can't reach Capnolog”
The computer could not load your cases. Check the connection and try again. Nothing was lost, and the cases stay in the app until they load.

“Autofill is paused”
Capnolog stopped filling the form rather than put an answer in the wrong place. Enter that one case by hand on the ACGME form. Then answer “Entered this yourself?” so the case is not offered again.

“Not accepted”
The ACGME refused the submission, and the extension shows the ACGME's own message. Nothing was saved, and the case is still in the extension. Fix the problem on the form, then press Submit again.

“Submission could not be confirmed”
The extension could not tell whether the ACGME saved the case. Look for the case on the ACGME's list, then answer “Did the submission go through?” with Yes or No.

Check the count on your phone
On the phone, the ACGME page opens “Your cases” with three lists. The lists are named “To send,” “Sent,” and “On their list” in that order. A case under Sent was filed through the extension. A case under On their list was read back from the ACGME's own list.
