Add the patient's history to a plan

Open the plan and tap “Past medical history.” Conditions are grouped by body system, and one tap adds each. Record a prior anesthetic with its airway details, then tap “Use this patient's last anesthetic” to carry those answers into today's plan. “Apply my usual drugs” fills the drug lines from the plans you have already written.

The night before, the chart review is the slow part. The plan page keeps the history in a shape you can read at 6 AM.

   Tap “Past medical history”

   Conditions are grouped by body system, from Cardiac through Heme. Tap a condition to add it, and touch and hold to describe it. “Otherwise healthy” is one tap.

   Record a prior anesthetic

   Each prior anesthetic is a card with the date, the procedure, and the anesthesia type. The airway details hold the blade, the view, and the tube size. One tap says a prior anesthetic was uncomplicated, and another says there is no prior anesthesia history.

   Tap “Use this patient's last anesthetic”

   The button copies the most recent prior anesthetic into today's plan. The copy covers the ASA class, the anesthesia type, the airway, the lines, the monitors, the blocks, and the drugs. The button fills only what is still empty.

4. 4

   Tap “Start from one of my plans”

   This button starts today's plan from a plan you wrote before, for the same kind of case.

5. 5

   Tap “Apply my usual drugs”

   Capnolog works out your usual drugs from the plans you have already written. The button shows only while a drug line is still empty.

The history is patient information. The history stays encrypted on your phone and is erased when you log the case.
