Log a case from the Home Screen
On an iPhone, add the Quick Log widget to your Home Screen and pick the templates you use most. Tapping a button saves that case without opening the app, and you finish the details later. The Voice button opens Capnolog ready to listen. A second widget, Quick Note, opens your pinned note from the Lock Screen.

Between rooms, opening an app is one step too many. The widget puts your most common cases on the Home Screen as buttons.

Add the Quick Log widget
Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, tap Edit, and tap Add Widget. Search for Capnolog and choose Quick Log. The widget comes in a small size and a medium size.

Pick which templates appear
Touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget. Choose the case templates you want as buttons. The buttons use the templates you keep in Settings → Case templates.

Tap a button to save the case
The case is saved without opening the app, and the buttons pause for a moment so a second tap cannot save the case twice. The widget shows how many cases you have saved today.
A case saved from the widget arrives unfinished. Open Capnolog later and the case is waiting in “To finish.”

Tap Voice to say the case instead
The Voice button opens Capnolog on a new case with the microphone ready.

Put Quick Note on the Lock Screen
Touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, and add the Quick Note widget. Quick Note opens your pinned note, starts a new note, or starts dictation.
The widget stores answer codes from your template and nothing else. No note and no patient detail passes through the widget.
