File ACGME cases from your phone

In anesthesiology, Capnolog 1.3.0 files your cases on ACGME from your iPhone. Tap “Save and file on ACGME” on a new case, and ACGME's own page opens inside the app, filled from your log. Sign in there once. You check the form and press Submit, and Capnolog marks the case filed.

Before version 1.3.0, Capnolog filled the ACGME form only from a computer, through the browser extension. In anesthesiology, Capnolog 1.3.0 files from your iPhone as well. ACGME's own case entry page opens inside the app, filled from the case you logged.

How do you start filing from your iPhone?

On a new case, tap “Save and file on ACGME”. ACGME's own case entry page opens inside Capnolog, already filled from the case you logged.

The first time, the Log tab card reads “File on ACGME from this phone”, and a tap there sets the phone up for filing. After that, the same card counts the cases ready to file. One button on the card opens them as a batch.

How does the ACGME sign-in work?

ACGME's own sign-in page opens inside Capnolog the first time you file. You sign in there once. The session stays in this iPhone's Keychain, and Capnolog does not store your ACGME password.

What do you check before pressing Submit?

A card above the form compares the filled fields with your log. “All 12 match” means every filled field matches. “1 to set” means one field is left for you, and “1 to check” means one field needs a look.

“Show me” scrolls to the field. Then you press Submit on ACGME's page yourself, because Capnolog never presses Submit. Once ACGME has the case, the card reads “Filed” for a moment, and Capnolog marks the case filed.

How does a batch move from case to case?

A batch runs one case at a time, and the header counts your place, such as “Filing 1 of 3”. After a filing, the next case comes up. At the bottom, “Skip case” leaves a case for later.

What does the phone read back from ACGME?

Once you sign in, the phone reads back the cases ACGME already has. Capnolog sorts them into “Needs resolution”, “New from ACGME”, and “Already in your log”. A case already on ACGME is not offered for filing again.

To read the list fresh, open Settings, then “ACGME”, and tap “Read ACGME again”.

What do the first 50 filed cases cost?

Your first 50 filed cases are free, counted across the phone and the extension. After that, filing on ACGME is part of Capnolog Premium. The Log tab card shows how many free cases are left.

What about Android, a computer, or neurosurgery?

Filing from the phone needs an iPhone with Capnolog 1.3.0 or later, in anesthesiology. On a computer, the Chrome or Edge extension prefills the official ACGME form the same way. Android users and neurosurgery residents file with the extension, which is in beta for neurosurgery. You press Submit there too.

How do you sign out of ACGME on the phone?

Open Settings, then “ACGME”, and tap “Sign out of ACGME”. Capnolog forgets the ACGME sign-in on this phone and stops filing from here. Every case stays in Capnolog.

You attest to every case you submit, so every Submit stays in your hands.
